One More Plain Update
It’s looking like all three will finish!! Another update from Leon.
– ok, jamie just finished … at ~10:42am this morning … for an approximate elapsed
time of ~29:42 … if i have done my math right …
– jeff, larry, and mauricio have all passed through the chickamin tie check point …
which is ~70+ miles into the race … don’t know the exact mile mark for that check point …
– elapsed times for them at that point are:
jeff: 24:10
larry: 24:12
mauricio: 25:32
– chickamin tie is kind of the "point of no return" … if you make it through there, you should
be able to finish … the next check point is alder creek (7.5m from the finish), and then
deep creek on the return (1.5m from the finish) …
– search and rescue folks said it looked like the three were basically running together,
helping each other, in order that they would all finish … this is definitely true for jeff and
larry … but mauricio would have been an hour back at chickamin … if the times on the
spread sheet were correct …
– anyway … all three should be able to finish …
– weather is real nice here now … clear blue sky, and temps going up … it was pretty
cold last night … jamie said he was cold, even with all his stuff on …
– will try to get one more email off to you when they pass through alder creek …
– right now it looks like they will have finishing times of anywhere from 34 hours … to …
35+ hours … but, they should be able to make it …
– tim stroh came in second … he was the guy that stayed with us in that big cabin here
at thousand trails …
