Plain Updates

Received the following two updates from Leon via e-mail to Cheryl. I would have had these up earlier however had a slight accident involving salsa and the keyboard. I always tell my kids not to eat or drink near the home computer. I guess I need to follow my own instructions!! 🙂 All is well and the keyboard was saved. Lost some darn good salsa though!

The most recent update:
All times are WA times.

– jamie got in about 7:40pm … and left about 8pm … will finish …

– jeff and larry got in about 9:40pm … jeff left about 10pm … larry was a few
  min later … but … we didn’t watch larry go out … and he walked right by the
  trail and continued on the road … about 10:25pm he came back to deep creek
  asking where the trail was … we pointed it out to him and off he went … we should
  have watched him leave just to make sure he got on the trail in the dark … anyway,
  he seems to be the strongest of the three, and should be fine … they all have
  a good attitude at this time …

– mauricio came in just after larry took off, after correcting his missed trail thingy …
  (about 10:30pm) … mauricio then took off from deep creek about 10:45pm …

– so … with all the mis-direction … it kind of goes like this:
  jeff left deep creek at 10pm …
  larry left deep creek at 10:25pm …
  mauricio left deep creek at 10:45pm …
– they are all close together … and should all finish … they have plenty of time …
– night is cool … not overly cold … no wind … clear sky … and … they all had
  a good attitude …
– they should all finish …
– am going back to deep creek now to help jim kerby … only 3 more runners to
  account for … will then return here at the trailer to crash … when all runners
  go through deep creek … or drop …
– that’s it for now …

– looks like hawaii guys are running together at this point …

– these are times called in to ham radion guys at thousand trails … but are fairly accurate …

– will be heading down to deep creek pretty soon … may get one more update before that … if

  not will return to trailer after guys get to deep creek …
