Kaʻena Point Firecracker Mahalos, Results, and Photos
Congratulations to the 116 runners who finished the 2026 HURT Kaʻena Point Firecracker trail race!
The west side of the customary Firecracker course was closed due to storm damage, so the 2026 race was a two-time out-and-back route on the north side of Kaʻena Point State Park. On the way out near the shore, it was coral, sand, a few obstacles, and some fast runnable dirt roads. On the way back on the upper road there were rocks, rocks, rocks, and a headwind.
It got hot. Some runners were smiling as they came through the Start/Finish, and some were frowning, but every finisher achieved a race course PR. Great race, everyone!
