Sad News

Aloha Athletes,

I just received an e-mail from Cathy Tibbetts with the sad news that Marc Witkes died of an apparent heart attack on Sunday while running the Tucson Marathon. Marc was a very nice young man and athlete, who has been on the board of the Hardrock 100 for many years. I was fortunate to have met Marc and Cathy while they were on their honeymoon to Hawaii and will always remember how happy they looked at the top of Kuliouou.

Marc always said to live everyday as if it were your last. Please go out and do something fun today, in the memory of a fellow athlete.
