Aloha Athletes !
A big MAHALO to Kat Tagaca and her great group of volunteers for the wonderful job at Mango Madness, last Saturday. A special thank you goes out to Rex for the cool, HURT caps, which were given to each of the top 10 men and women. The field just gets more and more competitive, and you can really be proud of yourself if you were fast enough to win a cap. The results are posted on www.HurtHawaii.com.
After the race was the going away party for one of our favorite people AND one of Hawaii’s best ultrarunners, Bob Murphy. This was a very sad moment for me, and many others,as Bob has brightened-up the trails for us on countless occasions, (for as long as I’ve been running ultras). "It will not be the same without Bob" just doesn’t say enough. He will be deeply missed by all of us. Hopefully we will get to see him in January, as I’m sure he will be back for the HURT 100. Aloha Bob !!
