Fleet Feet Sports Opens June 18th

Yesterday I received a postcard in the mail announcing the opening of Fleet Feet Sports in Kailua. The card had this offer on it "If you bring Dad in, he gets 20% off a pair of shoes." Since we currently don’t have a running store on the Windward side, I have been waiting for them to open.

I stopped by today and briefly met the owner, Susan Redpath. While it looked like there was still quite a bit of work to do to prep the store for opening, it looks like it will be a nice store. Fleet Feet Sports is located in the old Pizza Hut building located by McDonald’s at 17 Aulike Street. Fleet Feet will stock footwear, apparel, and sports accessories.

As someone who works and consults with those who make money on the Internet, I am a big supporter of small businesses. Kailua is having kind of a resurgence with several new businesses scheduled to open over the next several months. Let’s do our best to support these entrepreneurs.
