Tantalizing Tantalus Trail Half Marathon (TTH) Recap 2025

Aloha TTH Runners,

The Tantalizing Tantalus Trail Half Marathon marked the kickoff of our trail series for half marathon distances and beyond. From here, the mileage climbs steadily as we move towards Maunawili Out and Back, Tantalus Triple Trek and the Peacock Challenge. For a fortunate few, this journey could help prepare you for the HURT 100.

Whether you joined us at TTH to rack up Trailblazer points or to challenge yourself on one of Oʻahu’s toughest courses, you showed up with wide-eyed enthusiasm—and it was contagious.

You Showed Up and Showed Out

As race directors, we couldn’t be prouder of the 124 runners who toed the line and the 122 finishers who persevered through to the end. From morning check-in through to the finish line, we saw nonstop grit, smiles, and high fives.

This course is no joke—running on sections of the HURT 100 trail, with 3,200 feet of elevation gain, barely a breeze, and unrelenting heat. Add in a last-minute rock slide detour and a new start/finish, and this year’s TTH was as challenging as ever. And still—you crushed it. Mahalo to Aaron at DLNR, and Marian at HURT for the last minute pivot to the altered course.
