Congratulations and thank you to all those who participated in this year’s 27th Annual HURT Tantalus Triple Trek! It was quite the adventure just to get to the start line. We hope you all came away with many great memories.
It took more than a team or a village to put on this event with all the various logistics and planning. Major thanks to O’ahu Na Ala Hele, Freddy Halmes, and the volunteers for performing down to the wire maintenance on the course due to the effects of Hurricane Lane (or its remnants).

Most of all a very big heartfelt mahalo to John Salmonson for creating a “challenging course’ that “was both exhilarating and technical to the point of near insanity” (a summary of quotes from various runners). Without his generosity to share his love of trail running and ingenuity to create the course, we wouldn’t be able to have celebrated this tradition. That being said, I guess this course is HURT-certified! Thank you, John!
