Aloha!
Congratulations to all that competed in one or more of the epic events last weekend. I am sure that some are still feeling the impact of hard efforts and may want to do a mellow run, and there are some hard-chargers that will want to put the pedal to the metal again this weekend.
For the first category, there will be a group run starting at 6:00 a.m. at the Makiki Nature Center for a reverse Trek Loop. You can ease into your HURT 100 training by doing this relaxed 10-mile course, or leap in head-first by going for a second repeat and higher mileage. Plan to carry fluids and nutrition sufficient for a minimum of 2-3 hours on the trail per loop.
For the latter category, there is also the Gunstock 5K and Half Marathon is starting at 7:00 a.m. at Kualoa Ranch. (I believe the registration is closed for this event now.)
Of course, if the tropical storm/hurricane becomes a threat for Saturday, and plans need to be changed, I will post here on Friday early evening.
Have a great weekend!
