Important Announcement: Top of Tantalus Parking and Carpooling

This Saturday's Trail Series run will have some changes!!!! First, the race starts at 8:00 a.m.

We were required to obtain a permit from the State Parks Division. The permit prohibits us from using more than 25 parking places on the Park premises, and also prohibits us from collecting any money in the Park.

Therefore, please get there early enough to check in and pay, at the gate, and park your car on Roundtop Drive. John and I will be there early to check you in, and when the gate opens at 7 AM, we will remain there at the gate until 7:45 a.m. for latecomers, and the race committee will go up to the race site to set up. After 7:45 a.m., you will not be able to check in.

A better idea: We recommend that everyone carpool to the race (Heck with gas at $4.25 gal, this is a no brainer!) park cars at the bottom (where we park for Mango Madness), and pile into someone else's car coming up to the race. We will allow the first 25 cars, with three occupants or more, in through the gate to park up in the lot next to the start.

Those who did not get their names on the original number-assignment list, can still run any of our Trail Series runs. You will just have to come and sign in on race day, and get a number at that time.
