Upcoming Training and Turkey Thoughts

So much to do…and so little time to do it in.

The H.U.R.T. 100 countdown timer says 53 days!

Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. We really do have a lot to be thankful for.

Many of us training for either the marathon, the XTERRA Trail Run Worlds (there is countdown timer on their site too. It reads 11 Days, 12 Hours as I type this) or the H.U.R.T. 100 are trying to figure out how to fit it all in. Most of us work, many of us have families and we are also all working hard to get in shape for whatever race we are doing–even if it is just the race of life!!

Here are some upcoming dates/days just to keep some things in mind.

Anyone running Wed night or Thursday morning? Post it in Comments.

Jeff Fong told me he is planning on running 40 miles on Friday. I am sure he would take some company. Sounds better than hitting the mall to me. He told me he plans on going back out Saturday for 30 or so more. Crazy these young newbies huh??

Anyone running Friday night?
I may be going out on Sunday.

The XTERRA Worlds are December 7. The long version is a 1/2 marathon. There is also a 10 K. Anytime you can get on Kualoa Ranch, it is a good thing. Check it out here.

Judy Carluccio is coming down the next weekend and is planning on running 50 miles on Saturday December 13. Cheryl will probably have more details as it gets closer.

Brenda told me she is planning on doing 50 miles on December 20. That is 4 weeks out from the race. After that it is taper, taper, taper.

Get that training in, eat well, rest as much as possible, and enjoy and be thankful for all you have.

Aloha,
Bob
