Interested in Pacing at the HURT 100??
Ultra running is unique in that many races allow the use of pacers or someone to run with a race participant after a certain designated distance or time. For the HURT 100, pacers are allowed anytime after 5:00 p.m. on Saturday or after 60 miles.
The HURT 100 is scheduled for January 13 & 14, 2007 and is run on some very challenging trails in the Makiki-Tantalus trail system. Most runners will be spending 12 hours or so running in the dark and for many runners, close to 36 hours on the trails. A pacer can be a great help to runners both at night and on Sunday.
If you are at all interested in pacing a runner at the HURT 100, Don Fallis is going to be keeping a list of people interested in pacing. The purpose of this list is to just make it available to runners interested in having a pacer for the race.
