Saturday Training 5-7-05

Congratulations to Jeff Huff, Cheryl Loomis, Patricia Carroll, Mike Garcia and Hurtpal Leon Draxler for very fine performances, last Saturday at the Miwok 100k in Sausalito, Calif.   HURT rocks !Hopefully, we will hear all the details on this Saturday’s training.

Saturday Training 5-07-05 "Kaahele Race Preview"

Meeting time: 6:20 am

Starting time: 6:30 am

Meeting place: The top of Kaahele St. (above Royal Summit sub-division) where the road ends.

Directions (coming from Honolulu) going ewa: Take H-1 west past the stadium, taking the Waimalu exit. Get in the left lane and circle around to Moanalua Rd. Go (diamondhead) for less than a mile to the traffic light at Kaahele St. and take a left. Go up the hill for 1.8 miles to the end of the road and park. Please be quiet as this is a residential neighborhood and some will be sleeping.

Training: We will do the 7+ mile trail portion of the Kaahele Race a few times. Do one or as many loops as you prefer. We will save the 1 mile of road for the actual race on May 14.

Bring: Plenty of water/sports drink, as it will be warm on the trail, and we will have no stash.
