Firecracker Mahalos, Results, and Photos
Congratulations to the 104 runners who finished the 2024 HURT Kaʻena Point Firecracker trail race! It was hotter than last year, and the wind was gustier later in the race. Great race, everyone!
With more course marks and ten (!) Course Marshals, we came closer this year to having everyone run the same route over the same distance in confusing terrain.
Here are the 2024 HURT Kaʻena Point Firecracker top finishers:
The top finisher prizes were shadow boxes hand-crafted by Tanya Florin displaying shells collected from Kaʻena Point beaches.
The text reads, “Run with a heart full of gratitude, for every step is a gift. Firecracker 9.75 mi 2024.”
As with every event in the HURT Trail Series, this race would not happen without the hard work of volunteers. We had a full complement of volunteers this year, and it was the best having them show up before dawn and work together in good spirits through the morning to provide race participants with the best experience possible! Thank you!
