Mango Madness & Peacock Challenge Cancelled
We hope that you are all well and safe. In the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), we ask that you continue to follow the guidelines as described by the CDC and your local health department. HURT is continuing to do the same to assure that our runners, crew, volunteers and spectators, and ultimately our community continue to stay out of harm’s way.
The COVID-19 virus has created uncertainty regarding future events, which amount to large gatherings within close confines. While we cannot predict the future given the uncertainty of future social distancing restrictions, we are of the belief that it will take some time to gradually reopen public spaces.
Mango Madness is cancelled due to the extension of stay-at-home order to May 31, 2020. Peacock Challenge races have also been cancelled because of the pending ownership status of Dillingham Airfield and the lengthy permitting process involved.
HURT will continue to monitor the guidelines as presented by local government agencies and act accordingly to what HURT feels is in the best interest of the community quite possibly at a more stringent level. It is very likely that we will need to cancel many / and or all of the HURT Trail Series events. Currently, all race series events are listed on UltraSignup (however closed to registration).
We will continue to update each trail series event here and at UltraSignup.
Please stay safe.
Aloha,
HURT, Inc.
