Brecon Beacons fell race

Off to South Wales (land of nervous sheep) last weekend for the Brecon Beacons 19 mile, 4500' fell race. Shades of "Feet in the Clouds" on the high bits chasing people who I assumed knew where they were going across open bogs/moorland in wind, rain and zero visibility. Spectacular descent where many scooted down on their bums – recipe for serious chafing – but my new Walsh shoes served me well. Weather forecast is looking up for UTMB – thunderstorms on Thursday and Saturday but a little window of fine weather for Friday. Fingers crossed… Nick K.
