Saturday (9/20) and Sunday (9/21) Training
Aloha Athletes,
Scroll down for the Sunday option
Saturday (9/20) –Same as last week, back to the N. Shore and Peacock Flats training–you know the drill. Yes, I just cut and pasted the info below.
Meeting time: 5:50 am (Please be on time–allow an hour drive from Honolulu/Windward.)
Starting time: 6:00 am
Meeting place: Dillingham Airfield (drive to the far end of
Dillingham Airfield and turn left into the last gate…circle around
back and park in the parking lot behind airfield control tower.)
Training: Up Kealia Trail, across some other roads
and trails, uphill, downhill, some flat–very little flat actually,
great views, good company, guaranteed fun!!!
Distance: More or less–Could be as little as you like or as much as you want, some will probably do around 27 miles
Time: How fast are you? Again, spend as much or as
little time as you like. Could be an hour, depending on your distance
(and speed), could be 6-8 hours plus.
IMPORTANT !! Bring plenty of water and carry minimum of 50-70 oz. per loop.
Plan ahead and bring all the water/sports drink/food
that you will need. Water has been stashed above and there will be a
water drop at the corner of Mokule’ia Access Road and Farrington
Highway. It will likely be hot and humid, so you will most-likely
consume
more fluids than normal. A hat and sunscreen are a must ! Don’t forget
electrolytes.
Sunday 9/21 Option: South Loop (of Oahu)
UltraMan Training with Gil and Steve
Departing the Loomis house at 6:00 a.m.
I think around 40 miles-on the road. There will be crew support–I think that means Cheryl will be driving along with a cooler.
Come out and do it all or just a part of it. Contact Gil, Steve, or Cheryl for more details
