Ironman, 12 hour, and Xterra
Just a quick reminder that this coming Saturday (10/15), H.U.R.T. runners, Gil Loomis, Steve Dewald and Nick Kaiser will be over in Kona participating in the Ironman triathlon. Hurtpal Wendy Minor will also be in Kona particpating in the Ironman as well. Good Luck to all of you.
While Barbi and I were out on the trails this morning, I was thinking about those participating in next week’s Ironman. Ironman finishers will cover approximately 140 miles in 12 or so hours. While they are doing that, the rest of us get to slog through 12 hours of fun in the H.U.R.T. Trail Series, 12-hour Race. We will cover maybe 30 to 40 miles if we are lucky.
If you’re not going to Kona, come join us on Saturday. The race starts at 6:00 a.m. and goes for 12 hours. Click this link, to see a previous post with more race info.
Finally, as if the Ironman is not enough, Steve Dewald and Wendy Minor are also both competing in the Xterra World Championship’s to be held on Maui just one week after Ironman.
Good luck and good racing to everyone over the next couple of weeks!
Aloha, Bob
